Design Technology

Another portion of my time at CBT has been dedicated to research and development into technology in architecture. The research topics can greatly vary from studying daylighting, BIM strategies, new software, project model planning to Augmented and Virtual Reality, I am a lead developer of the automation at CBT, working in both Grasshopper and Rhino, with a focus on shadow studies and model management. The design technology team and I also periodically host model reviews with project teams, using a database that I make using Dynamo and Excel. We meet with project teams throughout the design process and review how their BIM model is working with a focus on Revit models. These have proven to help teams throughout their timelines so we can troubleshoot and properly manage models.
